Went to McMaster Innovation Park today and I found this work of art of the Downtown Gates in Hamilton by Paul Elia hung on the walls. This is one of the many digitally illustrated ‘strips’ that Elia has created to “depict distinct and interesting Southern Ontario cityscapes” as stated in his website.
Not only is this a beautiful work of art depicting the warm welcoming tones of downtown Hamilton that I can relate to, but the size of the artwork in real life is big enough to feel as if you’re walking through the block in a literal sense. Elia also mentions this in his website (side note: you should check it out).
